Golf Punters’ Guide is a free tipping service that was set up in January 2011 to provide value selections to beat the bookie.
I have been a golfing enthusiast for most of my life, and have developed an in-depth knowledge of the players, tournaments and stats on the major tours.
For weekly golf tournaments taking place throughout the calendar year, I will be combining my current knowledge with statistical research and prices available to produce a shortlist of players who I think represent value.
Like Sam, I’m a huge golf fan and have been for many years. I work as a sports trader for a large European bookmaker and although my day-to-day focus is currently on other sports, I used to compile golf odds for a major UK bookmaker and have an excellent knowledge of the sport.
A keen golfer but an even more avid punter. First big win was Christian Cevaer at 250/1 in the 2004 Open de Espana and haven’t given it back yet!
With PGA Tour and European Tour markets more clued up then ever my pursuit of an edge has taken in more exotic tournaments. You can expect a wide breadth of previews with Web.com and Challenge Tour events sure the feature in the future.
All selections and results are recorded on this site, and although we don’t expect to produce winners every week (such is the nature of picking winners in a 140-strong field), we do believe over the course of the season we should show decent profit.
The main objectives of Golf Punters’ Guide are to identify value selections and share these with our followers and also provide useful insight into golf tournaments which will help punters make informed decisions when deciding which players to back. This service is completely free of charge.
